you might want to speak with your agent, it might be better to put his on his own to keep your down. It depends on his age, record, the car, ect..the fact that he is young, might cost..you usually get a better rate with the company that you have been with the longest.

Im not sure where you are located.. But it would be good to go on a plan together.. Not only because you are going to be getting a Multi Car Discount but soon he should be getting his Good Driver Discount as he soon will have 3 yrs of continuous licensing experience.. If you are getting him a used older car even better as the one thing that is expensive are vehicles that require Comprehensive and Collision coverage. So that will also bring your premium down.. I would try Mercury.. If you guys are good drivers.. Then should be pretty low … G

To get cheaper insurance you just SHOP AROUND A LOT.
