But it would be good to go on a plan together.. Not only because you are going to be getting a Multi Car Discount but soon he should be getting his Good Driver Discount as he soon will have 3 yrs of continuous licensing experience.. If you are getting him a used older car even better as the one thing that is expensive are vehicles that require Comprehensive and Collision coverage. So that will also bring your premium down..
