HOW CAN I GET A LOWER CAR INSURANCE QUOTE?

im looking for cheap automobile insurance. im 16 and i have a 1994 oldsmobile bravda and im trying to get cheap insurance. i have gotten quotes from several insurance companys and wanted to know if there is a way i can make it lower.

Request the bare minimum required. Tell them you want the highest deductable.

Take drivers ed. Let them know you took it.

Airbags

And don’t use an internet insurance company (like geico or progressive). They are twice as expensive as normal places like state farm or allstate.

And ignore the downvote from the geico lover below. Apparantly he has more money than sense.
My daughter paid $95/month for insurance from Allstate. Geico wanted $172.

Also how many tickets you have determine that. so basically there’s no way at this point that you can lower it because it’s all set based on age and type of vehicle and driving record. also if you dropped out of high school it makes insurance go up for some reason. my husband dropped out his junior year and his license is still suspended from it and he’s 24 now.

What borino says about anti-theft and alarm is true, you will get lower rates, as well as if your car has ABS, club etc… Any extra safety feature is a plus when looking for car insurance.
