How is the health care overhaul different from auto insurance?

I’m not well versed in the world of politics, but I just read that there are 13 says that are going to sue because they claim it is unconstitutional for the government to mandate that we have health care. How can they require us to keep auto insurance then? Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure it’s illegal to not have auto insurance; I do not see how that is different than health insurance.

They do not force you to have a car, that is a choice.
