I’m looking into auto insurance for a new car I am purchasing and a few agencies have used the term “future effective” and said that there is a discount when this is used. Does anyone know what this is? Or can anyone explain it?

If you drive someone’s automobile who has insurance on their automobile but you do not have any auto insurance and you get in a wreck does their insurance cover it or could you get a ticket for driving without insurance? Would you be an uninsured motorist even if the automobile you drove was covered by someone elses insurance?
the automobile I would be driving is covered by the friend’s insurance. I just dont have any insurance since I sold my car

I disagree with the use of credit scores and auto insurance, and would like to find an auto insurance company that doesn’t use the method when selling me their service. Does anyone know of companies that do not check your credit, and instead uses your driving record, age, etc….like it used to be?

Think about it, we could do away with pre-existing conditions for auto insurance. In other words you could go out and purchase a wrecked Toyota from a salvage yard, put insurance on it and the insurance company would have to pay for the damages to the automobile before you insured it or even owned it. Its only fair, right?

There was an auto insurance commercial whose gimick was that they provided you with not only their rates, but the rates of their competitors…what insurance company was that?
I have not seen that particular thing being adverstised in a few months-and I cant remember what the company was…either geico, progressive..i cant remember?!!
