Does my auto insurance cover me in a rent car?
I purchased automobile insurance from AIG on-line; the policy does not state that I am or am not covered when renting a car. I live in Texas. The policy I have does note various ‘endorsements’ related to Texas. When I call the help desk at AIG and ask if I am covered, they can’t tell me. Does the Texas Auto Insurance endorsements require that my insurance go with me when renting a car? If I am also driving someone else’s car, what coverage would go with me as part of standard Texas policy? I have Liability, Uninsured/underinsured, coverage for damage to my auto (other than collision/collision). When I rent a automobile from state Enterprise, if my own insurance is in force, what extra coverage should I get so I do not have to pay a thing if their automobile gets scratched or dented? thank you…..frustrated in Texas.

I always see a specific Farmer’s auto insurance commercial. it’s where a guy is in a test automobile where they spill coffee on his lap, has him it food and put on lipstick while “driving” to make a point. Then his friend comes in the automobile and starts dancing, he then crashes into a pole? Im trying to find that specific commercial so I can figure out the name of the song. Its soo catchy! okay, last december 2005 I was involved in a minor automobile accident due to weather conditions, and I had to pay my auto insurance company a “500 deductible” to repair the damages that I made to my vehicle, so they had fixed it. This august of 2007, I receive a letter from my insurance policy attorney stating that I am being sue by the plantiff of the automobile that I hit. Why I am being sued if I was cover by my insurance policy and the plantiff car, and is there anything I can do to defend myself. Because they should go after my insurance company if they did not pay for the plantiff car…. not me.

What are the economic reason for discount in “Auto Insurance” if the person is also a home owner?
I see that even if the home owner insurance is not with the same carrier as Auto Insurance but still auto insurance company gives the home owner discount. And if it is with the same company then it is called “multiple policy” discount.
Also, One of the person has been renting and has the automobile garage, but that person did get the discount for garaged automobile but it was less than the home owner discount.
How does the probability of accident or other loss decrease with home ownership?

hi im planning on buying a automobile from a local Insurance Auto Auction. I know that the automobile is a salvage title and the photos they have shown are the photos of the automobiles damage, but i wanted to know if they repair the automobile before they put it up for bidding or do they sell the automobile damaged and the buyer has to repair the car.
