CAN I SUE, AND IF SO, FOR WHAT?

Question by james B:
Can I sue, and if so, for what?

I have been harassed via email regarding an insurance matter by the family of my ex girlfriend. Basicly we had auto insurance in both our names, I stopped paying, and the insurance was cancleled. 2 months after we broke up she had a automobile accident (car is in her name only). Now her family is emailing me and asking for all sorts of personal information (which I denied) and also attempting to access my on the web accounts with my insurance company (by trying to coerce another family member into divulging the info). I sent the family member an email stating I had given them all the info that I could, and that this was my formal request to no longer be contacted by phone or email regarding the matter. If it matters there was also a signature attached that says that the email is a confidential and intended for the recepient only. He proceded to forward it to his relatives, and then contacted me again via email (while cc’ing the other members of his family) and made threats to sue me and report me for not having auto insurance. Also another family member mistakenly replied to the message and did not take me off the cc list, in that persons message they call me a deceitful liar and other various choice words, and congratulate their family member on a job well done threatening me.. So here is my question: Can I sue the family member since I had already requested not to be contacted regarding the matter? If so on what grounds can I sue? Can I also sue the other family member for defamation for the email they mistakenly also forwarded to me? Thank you in advance for all your help!
Thank you for your answers so far, my goal is to sue them. All I want to know is can I, and on what grounds… Thank you
