My automobile was vandalized last night, they ripped off a piece on the back and cracked the bumper in the front. If I make a claim with my insurance company will this affect my rates?
It was not a collision, the upper “fin” at the top of the rear window was ripped off, and the front bumper was yanked out and cracked about a foot from the edge.

Do they bring up your credit score when doing insurance quotes? Would not that lower credit score if they do do that?

I have heard that accidents and tickets will affect automobile insurance rates for five years. I was in an accident four years ago, that was determined to be my fault. Now, my (old) insurance company just settled this claim. Is this going to affect my rates for five years from the settlement date or from the date of the accident?
