Does anyone know how to get around the DMV’s circle of crap – no license, no car, no insurance, no license?
I had a automobile accident, no injuries, no other automobiles involved, in 2000. I have gone each three months to try and obtain my driver’s license/permit and each time the DMV tells me that I cannot get it without SR22 Insurance. So I go to all my local and on the web Ins Companies, and they tell me, without a car, it will be at least $ 400 per month, and it must be for one full year, before it would go down. I cannot buy a automobile without my driver’s license and insurance. Unless someone knows another way around this, my only option is to find someone who would put my name on the title of their car, which ain’t gonna happen.

BrownTown, In the Say of Alaska, you must have your driver’s license with insurance. The problem is, if you do not own a vehicle, the insurance companies charge an arm and a leg. I am 25, I had a automobile accident in 2000. I have been pulled over for speeding twice, and I have to have a SR22 to obtain my license. I cannot afford $ 400 or something a month for SR22. To buy a automobile in the say of alaska from a dealership, you must provide insurance and a driver’s license. Now does everyone see my problem?
