Question by Rocks911:
does auto insurance cover the automobile or person?
I have auto coverage in Texas and was wondering if it covers the automobile or me, or both?
If my brother borrows my automobile does my insurance cover him if he gets in an accident?
I’m 49 years old. My brother is just one example, what if my sister-in-law wants to borrow my vehicle, or my neighbor?
I did ask my insurer and they were kind of guarded about their answer which I was not too happy about, you would think you could get a clear cut answer to the question, but not so much.
Do laws differ by say I wonder?

I could not find the source for this information online. Can anyone point me to the TX Department of Transportation law for this?
