beat up 1995 toyota camry! I got it for 600 bucks and Progressive want $ 250 a month for insurance! Crazy! I plan to get a 5 speed in the future. So I want to get prepared for a jump in prices! Also, I live with my Fiance, so I am says away from my parents to be under their name! So my name will be the only name on the insurance. Any ideas? I know there is defensive driving on the web courses, but what others are there that I can get my insurance to go way down? I am also graduated from highschool, and going to college in Fall of 2010!

Does my current Auto Insurance automatically cover my newly purchased automobile for 30 days in TX?
So I just purchased a new automobile and had a bit of processing delay from my Auto Insurance company. My automobile dealer at Lexus states that I can take the automobile home. He stated that under TX law, any Auto Insurance automatically covers any new automobile buy for up to 30 days from the buy date. Is this true in TX? I could not find the source for this information online. Can anyone point me to the TX Department of Transportation law for this?
