It will remove traffic points that you got from a ticket that you will be taking the test for but no for any in the past and as for the insurance, if you take the class for the last ticket you dont need to worry about your rates going up if you pass and stay clean but it wont lower your rates……

What are the economic reason for discount in “Auto Insurance” if the person is also a home owner?

I see that even if the home owner insurance is not with the same carrier as Auto Insurance but still auto insurance company gives the home owner discount. And if it is with the same company then it is called “multiple policy” discount.

Also, One of the person has been renting and has the automobile garage, but that person did get the discount for garaged automobile but it was less than the home owner discount.

How does the probability of accident or other loss decrease with home ownership?

This is the wrong question. Auto insurance is priced on correlations rather than causations. There appears to be a correlation between lower loss costs on auto insurance for people who have homeowners insurance when compared with the entire cohort of people with auto insurance.

No, at 10 weeks, she will not be driving for long time! And you do not get a discount for her, either. No change at all, and no need to report her.

No you do not need to inform your auto insurance company, you will not get a discount for having a baby. You should make sure you have life insurance for yourself and the baby’s dad so that if anything was to happen to either of you your baby would be taken care of.

Only if she has a license to drive. Otherwise, the insurance company really doesn’t care and it will have no affects whatsoever on your rates.

All depends on who you got for insurances. You dont need to go to yahoo answers you need to call your auto insurance company lol. Just call them and ask, if you dont have any just who ever u go with ask them.

Many insurance companies do offer a discount for employees (mine does, but it’s so small, it doesn’t make sense for me to switch). Keep in mind that there is not a whole lot a teen can do for an insurance company. The one I work for doesn’t hire anyone younger than 18 and out of high school.

I passed my CBT 3 years and and passed my full motorcycle test 2 years ago. I have never had any claims or convictions. Tomorrow I will hopefully be passing my practical automobile test. it depends entirely on the insurer. a good broker might be able to get you a superior no claims bonus allowance but as its not a automobile they can refuse. i got a 2 year introductory bonus for driving a company automobile for 4 years before i got my own car.
ask .. u have nothing to lose but in cases like this a good local broker you can chat to might be ideal bet rather than online.

Hi all, I currently have Allstate automobile insurance and I purchased a new automobile with a LoJack installed. When I tried to get the discount, they only took off $ 7 per month on my policy..

Looking online, I discovered that New York say mandates that automobile insurance companies must give a discount for LoJack, but I am not sure how much. The LoJack website is not very clear on the subject, saying 25% for NY but I am not sure if that means up to 25% or a mandated 25%…

Anyone happen to know? I am having trouble finding any concrete information.

The discount, whatever it actually is percentage wise, probably applies only to the theft or comprehensive part of the premium, not to the entire premium; that is why it seems so paltry.
