I would recommend Progressive, I just switched to them from Esurance and my premium is about half of what it was with Esurance, and the coverage is the same, even a tiny superior in some categories. The fact you are a new driver will not injured you, if anything, it will HELP you, since you will not have any violations that will up the price of your insurance. In addition to this, you are 26, most isurance dropas at age 25, so you should find a decend price, I would recommend checking out Progressive. But whatever you do, shop around a bit.

Your ideal bet is to get multiple qoutes from several differen’t insurance companies. Afterwards you can compare the qoutes and choose which one to go with. Good luck.

smaller insurance firms are usually cheaper, I know a few people that got less that 200 for a year’s insurance. Just make sure they are approved by government boards

Insurance rates vary SO much from person to person. It’s based on some of the following: Your driving and claims record, sex, age, credit score, living situation, are you married/single, car type, coverage required.. insurers base their quotes on different factors for different people,

try your old place of insurance or justuse yellow pages and call around or shop for some on internet

I need his insurance company to file the claim. How can I find out his insurance company?

I tried getting a copy of the police report but I have to wait 3days intill the office is open and I would have to pay a fee. Thats a lot of work but all i need is the company… there has to be an easier way.

So why not file with your insurance? They can begin the process, get the police report, and subrogate against the other driver and his insurance. It might mean paying your deductible up front, but it will be returned to you if and when they collect from the other insurance company. You pay a premium for coverage and service, take advantage of what you pay for.

It is not going to be on the web site – each policy is different..some folks opt for low deductibles and higher premiums and some vice versa. Look at your policy or call your agent.

I happen to be an insurance agent licensed in Florida, and I know rates are going up everywhere in the state. I hate to state this but, for a person who is over 70, the rates are not good. Some insurance companies will not even bother writing any business for the elderly. If they do, rates will be sky high regardless of driving history. If you do find a rate that is too good to be true compared to other quotes you have received, it probably is. Bottom line is, you are screwed. Move to Arizona.

insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident. It is a contract between you and the insurance company. You concur to pay the premium and the insurance company concurs to pay your losses as defined in your policy.

The ideal thing to do is shop around, on the web as well. So much depends on many questions, it’s difficult to state who would be cheaper. For myself and family, we have AARP, prior to this, I have had NationWide, Progressive, AIG, StateFarm, so make some calls and comparison shop. Good luck.
