It is time to renew my auto insurance and I have been shopping around. I have a question about the on the web insurance quote where it asks you “Age first license in the U.S”. Does it mean the time you got your learner’s permit? Or your actual license? Because there is a gap of around 3 years for me between the time I got my learner’s permit and actually license. And that seems to make a huge difference in the premium ( around 200 dollars for half a year ).

I’m sixteen years old and i got into my first fender bender. I was at fault, but the officer at the scene stated that the damage was minor and would probably be less than 400 dollars. I just wanna have the cheapest automobile insurance. I dont need the insurance cover anything. just the cheapest! which company would be the ideal except geico, progressive or Liberty Matual? Something else?
