I just got a quote for a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. I wont be making any payments on it. Im 18 years old and the insurance is going to make me pay a down payment of $ 502 and my Monthly payments will be $ 236. So many people tell me that I need to shop around more. I have a learners License now. If i go and take the operators test i already know i will fail so I need more practice on my own I CAN drive just dont have much experience on a real road. So is $ 236 good you know for someone my age.? I really need this automobile before the end of the month. I have to have a way to go to college and Work.
I dont have much of a choice when it comes to relatives. Both my parents are deceased. I called Progressive they want abmost 500 dollars

Answer by Camaro355Z/28
I would think more around $ 200 a month would be a tiny better. It is very high but I was in the same boat once and remember paying $ 213. You can shop around more if you’d like, it’s your money.

Question by Scott:
Do I really need auto insurance in Miami Florida?
Auto insurance is really expensive, do I really need it?
I live in Miami, Florida and prices on auto insurance are through the roof. Can I get in any really serious trouble if I drive without auto insurance for a while until I can actually afford it.

——————————————

Answer by Chuck
The reason that insurance is through the roof is because most people down here drive like total retards! Excluding yours truly, of course. Get the insurance. It’ll probably pay for itself in a year. Try Geico. It really did save me money….

Answer by kimber45acp
Yes! Its illegal to drive without it. You will get a ticket if you are pulled over.
If you own a car(not financed) insurance is relatively affordable because you only need PIP. If you do finance, it is high-priced because you need full coverage.
You can get superior prices by paying the insurance in sixth month increments, as oppose to paying it monthly. The insurance companies always give a superior price when you pay it in full.
Also, call around to all the major insurance companies and get a quote. Each company will give you a different price. You have to shop around to get a good price.

Answer by Jeremey E
Na – who needs insurance!

Question by Help_Me:
What’s the cheapest ideal automobile insurance in Pinella’s County Florida or how can I find out?
My Mother’s using the AARP insurance for her automobile and it just went up. Is there a way to find out what might be cheaper than that without filling out all those quotes with your presonal info? She is not been in an accident or had any traffic violations at all. Her age is going to be 70 this year. Thanks to anyone who can help.

——————————————

Answer by Scott
I happen to be an insurance agent licensed in Florida, and I know rates are going up everywhere in the state. I hate to state this but, for a person who is over 70, the rates are not good. Some insurance companies will not even bother writing any business for the elderly. If they do, rates will be sky high regardless of driving history. If you do find a rate that is too good to be true compared to other quotes you have received, it probably is. Bottom line is, you are screwed. Move to Arizona.

——————————————

Question by :
Does this automobile insurance quote seem right for Florida?
I am moving from NY to Fl in a few months and called my insurance company (liberty mutual) this day to get a quote and the amount I got is almost three times what I pay now! Currenly I pay $ 3700 a year and the Fl quote is for $ 9410!!! I am 29 and financing a 2009 Nissan sentra. I was told that Florida goes back 6 years on your record and one fender bender and a violation of “yielding” at a stop sign came up. I knew that it be higher because of those but this seems crazy!

Answer by Bill
It does seem high so you might want to shop around to see if there is anything cheaper.

Answer by StephenWeinstein
It might be right for Liberty Mutual. You might have to switch companies to get a superior rate.

What is the penalty for misrepresentation of information for auto insurance? Does the insured get sued by the automobile insurance company? Would that stop the insured form getting automobile insurance later on? Can that result in insurance fraud and if so…What happens then? this is serious so if you do not know the answer, doe not answer. no time for jokes.
I got auto insurance a few months before i got married and I didnt even know that i was supposed to call them and let them know i was married. I thought they would automatically be notified of that.

Answer by mbrcatz
Theoretically, you can be convicted, fined and go to jail. Will that happen? It depends on how egregious the fraud is.

Realistically, it voids your insurance, so the insurance company doesn’t pay. That ALSO means, that you no longer have the protection of the FL no fault laws, which only protect people with insurance.

The OTHER guy’s insurance might sue the uninsured guy who is uninsured because he committed fraud and voided his coverage. But YOUR insurance won’t.

Heck yes, being convicted of insurance fraud will make no standard insurer give you ANY kind of insurance – not auto, not homeowners, not even business insurance.

There is no automatic notification. Call them today, add your spouse to your policy, and they will change your rating status to married.

Question by golf91:
What is the cost of auto insurance in Florida?
I plan on buying a cheap beat up automobile in florida. It will be my first automobile and I was wondering what it would cost for auto insurance?

——————————————

Answer by tom
The answer is… it depends.

It depends on a number of factors such as your age, gender, type of car, age of car, and where you live.

Your ideal bet is to compare automobile insurance quotes on the web with a site like http://www.cheapcarinsurancequoter.com. What is great about this site and others like it is that it grants you to find free automobile insurance quotes for YOUR AREA. Simply enter your zip code and the site will display offers from top name insurance companies.

Good luck!

Answer by Down To The Point
Prices vary from relatively tiny money to a lot of money.
The way it is done is you go to an insurance site, fill a form, hit a button and you will get your price.

This is where I go to http://car-insurance.moneysavecenter.com?id=xy-1oN0v-o9
or even http://car-insurance.moneysavecenter.com/100.php?id=xy-1oN0v-o9
They are similar sites in that you just input your details and they will search around amongst main insurance carriers and then they will give you multiple results.

Each of those two will search for different insurers so by spending a tiny time you get to have a fairly wide price spectrum, I think they cover about 20 carriers between the them. It’s all free so you might as well use them.

Answer by Snow Bandit
No but it would be a good idea to have someone local that can help you if you have a claim.

Answer by rex_rrracefab
Insurance is not tied down to a say or location you live in. You buy insurance to cover the car no matter where you drive or live.

Answer by Leslie C
I dont think so, I have not lived in California for 4 years now and I still have California insurance. I dont think it matters just as long as you HAVE insurance

i am living in NY and the automobile is in florida. right now i dont have time to go to the register department there can i do it on the web and is so what do i have to do.

——————————————

Answer by caffeyw
Are you a resident of NY or FL? If NY the automobile gets registered in NY not FL. It’s the same as a DL, you have to get a license from the say you reside in. (Remember if you travel to a say and stay in it for more then 30 days without going back to your home say you in most cases become a resident of that state)

To register a automobile you have to goto a register department or mail it in. They have to have certain paperwork and signatures to process it.

Question by SirSnoop:
How much will insurance cost lower by taking on the web driver’s ed in Florida?
I’m 18 years old and I live in Tallahassee, Florida.
I used to have a 1996 Mazda Protege DX and it cost me $ 127.00 a month with Acceptance Insurance. I never have had a ticket or have been in a wreck. I see some people who have way newer automobiles than I do and insurance is way cheaper for them. How much will insurance, on average, lower a month if I plan on taking on the web driver’s ed in the say of Florida?

——————————————

Answer by mbrcatz17
Depending on how soon before you turn 19, maybe nothing. Drivers Ed discounts are usually only good for minors. And usually, it saves you enough over the three years to pretty much break even with the cost of the course.

——————————————
