Is my first insurance payment free if the company makes a mistake?
I used an insurance brokerage company to get auto insuance. I wrote a check (to the brokerage company, not progressive) for the first month of insurance on 5/13. It is now 6/15 and the check has not been taken out of my bank account yet. I feel that the brokerage company might have lost or misplaced my check and does not realize it. When I check on the web with progressive, it states that the first payment has been received and my next payment will be automatically deducted on 6/25.

My question is when can I assume that the check I wrote will not or can’t be cashed? Do I have to wait the 90 day void period for the check I wrote? Or can I assume that after I made the second payment, the check just wont be cashed? Any thoughts or ideas? Hopfully someone who works for a insurance company can let me know.

If the insurance BROKERAGE company (not progressive) loses a check.
AND
Progressive tells me that i am up to date on payments

Can the insurance BROKER cancel a progressive policy?
