I was looking up quotes from other insurance companies (currently have Geico), and all the quotes are the same as I pay now, or more. Court gave me a point for jaywalking now my auto insurance is high, can they do that?
I got a ticket from the police 2 years ago when I was 15 and a half. I am now 18 and I recently got my license, but when I applied for auto insurance it was 150 dollars more than usual because of the point court gave me for jaywalking 2 years ago. Did they make a mistake or can they really do that? It had nothing to do with driving! Now, I cannot drive because I cannot afford my insurance and they told me it’ll take 3 years until it’s absolutely off my record. I am screwed! Anybody have any recommendations on who I should complain to or if they can really do that! It’ll help a lot! thanks.

so when i use to drive legally with insurance, i payed about 600 down and like 180 a month.
but now when im looking for new insurance, i see monthly premiums for $ 900!! if automobile is financed, or min coverage of $ 400 for an owned car?
i dont understand… can automobile insurance really be this costly or is there something going on here?

So basically I have been driving for a year as a named driver on my fathers policy. In that time I have not had one accident or claim, no speeding tickets and never had to contact my insurance. Now im looking to go on my own policy and the cheapest prices that Im receiving is still over £1900! I thought it would at least of dropped below £1500 by now….
Anyone have any recommendations or companies to try. Ive tried all the compare websites, and a lot of independent ones such as direct line etc and they all suck just as much as each other.. quoting me stupid figures like £15000 :S

im a guy and im getting my first high school automobile in a couple weeks. im 15 and i want either an 06 Honda Accord coupe V6 EX-L white or a 06 Ford mustang GT Auto in marron dark red. i dont know which one to get there both in my parents price range which is $ 15000. and ive found both of them on the web in the pice rance and those colors. which one should i get? parents paying for gas,insurance, and matienence. please give me your view and could somebody do a key fob function video on these automobiles so i can hear what it sounds like when you lock the door and it honks the horn. thanks!

i have looked on a couple of comparison websites (compare the market, go compare, confused) and have found that the cheapest for provisional licence is £900 from collingwood, but then when i change to full licence the cheapest is £3000 from ecar.
none of my friends have to pay this much for a full licence and some of them even hae superior automobiles than me.
