Question by Jose:
Can auto insurance companies speak to each other regarding financial information from previous policies?
I requested a quote for fleet automobile insurance from a new insurance company. They required information from my previous carrier. They came back and stated they would not issue me insurance because my previous insurer informed them that I still owed them money. Is this information that they are granted to discuss?

——————————————

Answer by mbrcatz
Yes. Once you give them the finished application, there is small print at the bottom of it, where you sign off permission for them to investigate pretty much any way they want. Additionally, on the “loss runs” that EVERY carrier requests, there is still space for earned premium.

Lastly, in some states, it’s flat out required – it’s a question on the application – “do you owe any carrier any outstanding premiums?” and they CAN report it. That is so you cannot jump from carrier to carrier screwing each one of them for their premiums.

Answer by wg0z
yes. and they do it.

——————————————

Question by Bible Student:
Misrepresentation of information for auto insurance in the say of florida?
What is the penalty for misrepresentation of information for auto insurance? Does the insured get sued by the automobile insurance company? Would that stop the insured form getting automobile insurance later on? Can that result in insurance fraud and if so…What happens then? this is serious so if you do not know the answer, doe not answer. no time for jokes.
I got auto insurance a few months before i got married and I didnt even know that i was supposed to call them and let them know i was married. I thought they would automatically be notified of that.

——————————————

Answer by mbrcatz
Theoretically, you can be convicted, fined and go to jail. Will that happen? It depends on how egregious the fraud is.

Realistically, it voids your insurance, so the insurance company doesn’t pay. That ALSO means, that you no longer have the protection of the FL no fault laws, which only protect people with insurance.

The OTHER guy’s insurance might sue the uninsured guy who is uninsured because he committed fraud and voided his coverage. But YOUR insurance won’t.

Heck yes, being convicted of insurance fraud will make no standard insurer give you ANY kind of insurance – not auto, not homeowners, not even business insurance.

There is no automatic notification. Call them today, add your spouse to your policy, and they will change your rating status to married.

Answer by blb
When you get to the section of the quote that asks about cars there is usually a drop down that asks about the type of car (pre 81, farm, etc). In that drop down there is a section named named owner or broad form. That is what you need to pick in order to get a quote for insurance when you do not own a vehicle

Answer by buttrfly52
Most insurance companies will not do quotes for SR-22 insurance online. That is the only Nondriver or Nonowner policy I have heard of

Question by Jones:
How do I get information on paying my own automobile insurance, health insurance, and other bills?
I’m 24. I find it rather sad that I have never to my recollection directly paid any of my own bills, for any sort of insurance, or anything else; when I paid, I’d always pay my parents by slicing them a check, be it for the exact amount of one bill, or for a combination of expenses.

I have no idea how much my automobile insurance costs. I have a rough guess, sort of.

I am living at home still because it saves me a lot of money for college, in my hometown, but I am kind of missing out on life. I do not think I have ever seen any of these bills, let alone know about any forms I would need to fill out in order to have them taken care of. I know nothing.

When I move out in the spring, I feel like I will be completely lost. Is there anywhere online, at all, that might show or tell me what I need to do to take care of these “life” payments?

——————————————

Answer by stlouiscurt
Why do not you ask your parents how much they are paying for these things.

Answer by Pax
I commend you for wanting to stand on your own two feet. Although, I must state that your parents did you a great injustice in not teaching you how to handle these matters for yourself. They are life skills and I do not really know if there is anything on-line that can direct you. Your ideal option would be to discuss this matter with your parents, mirror them in what they do and ask many, many questions so that when Spring rolls around, you will be superior prepared to be your own person! It’s really not that difficult, just remember one thing…live below your means and you will never have a problem! Ideal of Luck and God Bless You.

Answer by debijs
~~Ask your parents to give you a breakdown of your bills, along with the name of the company, account number, and billing address for which the bills are paid to. Tell them you want to start preparing a budget for when you are on your own. Then I recommend you start a checking account as soon as possible. When you open one, make sure you get an account with free on the web checking. I know for sure Bank of America has them and there are probably many others. You can then start to set these accounts up under your bill pay tab and you are set. You can enter them manually when you want them paid, or set them up to automatically pay. It saves you time, stamps and checks. It’s all a matter of budgeting from there.~~

——————————————

Question by john s:
who has information about Samand Automobile in turkey?
Do you have information about Samand Automobile in Turkey?
It is not a good automobile in compare to other automobiles in turkish market.
Why do turkish purchase this car?
Does it have a long term insurance, for example for 15 years?
Or does it have after sale service for 10 years?

Answer by Leprechaun
I think the main reason would be the price. These automobiles are cheaper comparing to others. They are selling for 16-17 k liras. (13-14k USD)

Turkish distributor is “MYS Otomotiv”

Answer by delicious
I have no idea why do they grant that garbage in here? I would never drive one of those coke cans even if it was given for free

Answer by denyocan
I live in Turkey and have never heard of this car.

Question by Cory:
Need information on age limit to stay covered on insurance?
I live in the say of Illinois.
I have no insurance, however I live with my mother (I am supported by her) and I am on her insurance.
I am considered dependent and have no source of income, and I am a full-time student receiving aid.

All I need to know is what the age limit is to remain covered under the insurance.

I am pretty sure the type of insurance I have does not matter, but it is Bluecross for health and Say Farm for auto. I was informed that to remain a “Full time student” I need an active 12+ credit hours, however with my documented disabilities I am only required 8 (Dyslexia, ADHD, two heart conditions, and short-term memory loss.)

The real question comes from this. We were told that unless I am 12+ hours I will be dropped. I am 21, so I am over the minimum age for it. In other words, I’d have to fight my way through to stay on the insurance. But I am finding laws passed that move the age up to 26, so someone like me could still hold 8 CH and still be fully covered.

I know the Yahoo Community is not the most useful sources, but I am hoping it could at least steer me in the right direction.

The site I have heard this new law on are the following:

Young Adult Dependent Coverage:

http://www.insurance.illinois.gov/HealthInsurance/ya_dependent.asp

Like I said, I just want to know if this is correct. It’s on a government website, but it is still online. And I do have to argue with an insurance company about this. So please be as accurate as possible.

Thanks.

Answer by WRG
The new law will grant you to remain on her medical insurance until you are 26 or work somewhere that offers coverage.

Auto insurance is absolutely up to the company. There is no law that they have to cover you.

——————————————

Question by Λir§trikę X³:
What’s the ideal website offering all the information I need to know about Auto Insurance?
I’ve recently started working for an auto insurance bureau but I do not have enough knowledge… and I am really bad at reading books and i cannot take one to work anyway… i have my personal there and i need to know a website that will help me master auto insurance buisness.

——————————————

Answer by mbrcatz17
Start at your say insurance department website – the consumer section on “about auto insurance”. It’s written for the consumer, but it’s the ideal thing for free on the web, unless you want to take a class through an on the web insurance school.

**Oh, and the BEST thing to do, is to read the policy forms! Nothing is more plain than that . . .and an employer shouldn’t mind you reading the policy form!**

Answer by MSAD
If you have questions on say law – you need the law guide for am best. But you are not going to enjoy reading that and it’s not really anything you have to deal with.

If it has to do with claims – get to know the adjusters working for your company. When you get a friendly one that sounds like they have been around a while – begin asking questions. I am more than happy to explain things to the agents. If they comprehend why I do what I do- it makes our working relationship better. Agents have been a large asset to me and really helped me move a claim along. An agent that does not take the time to get to know the adjuster or the claims process -tends to give well meaning but very wrong advice to the policyholder. This just makes the claim process much harder than it has to be.

Most of the agents I have worked with over the years are great and really try to help claims out. But each now and then – I get an agent that thinks that the claims dept is the enemy and only out to cheat the customer. They think that making themselves the good guy and the claims dept the bad guy – is good customer service. This is the wrong attitude.

A seasoned adjuster can be a great source of information for you. You might not always concur with how claims does things or why they do it the way they do – but if you take the time to learn the process and comprehend it – you and the adjuster can work together to help the policy holder through a difficult time.

Answer by shogun
Use http://www.autosureweb.com and you will find all the info you need about automobile insurance.

——————————————
