Do you know that many auto insurance companies base your rate on your Credit Score>? Should this be legal>?
I just feel that if the Say is going to require by law auto insurance ,, then your credit should not have anything to do with your rate! Many companies do not even tell you they are running your credit, but they do! This needs to be changed !

i’m getting insurance quotes and normally i call and speak to someone and just state i was full coverage. i’m on geico.com and that is not an option. they will let me choose bodily injury liability and i checked the box that stated i was financing my automobile so maybe they give me full coverage no matter what then

I am buying a automobile sometime this month and will be getting it insured with my dad. The problem is, I recieved a ticket and points on my license the other day for running a stop sign while driving my friend’s car. I would like to know if I take the On the web Basic Driver Improvement Course, will my insurance agent not find out about the ticket? Will the BDI erase all records of my traffic violations?
