Getting automobile insurance these days is getting ridiculous…I’ve gotten quotes for $ 500, etc. but there has to be something cheaper out there. Why when I am getting quotes on the web for auto insurance do they ask for my marital status and even have a spot for “single parent.” Would I get a superior quote if I stated just single? Am I penalized for being single. I am no kid; I am over 40.

Do you know that many auto insurance companies base your rate on your Credit Score>? Should this be legal>?
I just feel that if the Say is going to require by law auto insurance ,, then your credit should not have anything to do with your rate! Many companies do not even tell you they are running your credit, but they do! This needs to be changed !

i’m getting insurance quotes and normally i call and speak to someone and just state i was full coverage. i’m on geico.com and that is not an option. they will let me choose bodily injury liability and i checked the box that stated i was financing my automobile so maybe they give me full coverage no matter what then
