Can I get separate 6 month automobile insurance for 2 vehicles?
I live in Vermont want to drive ONLY my Kia Spectra May-October, and ONLY my Ford F150 from November-April. I want to save money by having an insurance policy that covers each automobile for these 6 month intervals vs. insuring both year-round. Do automobile insurance companies typically offer this kind of coverage? I would ask around, but the insurance companies are so aggressive I can NEVER call for a easy quote or answer without extreme sales pressure.

I had Geico with ok coverage and out of nowhere they raised my quote. So I decided it was time to shop around. I got an awesome quote with a different company and with even superior coverage!!
I could not explain why it was so cheap but I am not complaining.

I just got a quote for a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. I wont be making any payments on it. Im 18 years old and the insurance is going to make me pay a down payment of $ 502 and my Monthly payments will be $ 236. So many people tell me that I need to shop around more. I have a learners License now. If i go and take the operators test i already know i will fail so I need more practice on my own I CAN drive just dont have much experience on a real road. So is $ 236 good you know for someone my age.? I really need this automobile before the end of the month. I have to have a way to go to college and Work.
I dont have much of a choice when it comes to relatives. Both my parents are deceased. I called Progressive they want abmost 500 dollars

I did not receive my Farmers auto insurance notice/threat of cancellation until today. Raced to my personal and submitted the payment around 9:00am today, which was the day given on the threat of cancellation notice as “will be cancelled at noon on July 15″. Am I still okay? I’d ask my agent, but he is useless–doesn’t call me back or answer his phone.

beat up 1995 toyota camry! I got it for 600 bucks and Progressive want $ 250 a month for insurance! Crazy! I plan to get a 5 speed in the future. So I want to get prepared for a jump in prices! Also, I live with my Fiance, so I am says away from my parents to be under their name! So my name will be the only name on the insurance. Any ideas? I know there is defensive driving on the web courses, but what others are there that I can get my insurance to go way down? I am also graduated from highschool, and going to college in Fall of 2010!

-I live abroad
-I’m a U.S. citizen
-I will purchase a used automobile in California
-I will drive this automobile for exactly 1 month this summer
-I will then park it at my parents home for the winter
-It will not be driven until next year
-Most insurers appear to offer only 6 month policies with massive cancellation fees.
-Companies in the UK, AUS, and SAfrica appear to have 1 month policies.
