Question by Mos Def:
What does it mean to add a driver to your automobile insurance policy?
Will it count as liability insurance for that driver? My boyfriend and I will be sharing a automobile when we move in together and I want him to be on my policy under the same vehicle, if it’s possible at all.

ADDING NEW AUTO INSURANCE TO MY EXISTING POLICY?
Nov 4th
Question by Justin H:
Adding new auto insurance to my existing policy?
I live in Oklahoma, my wifes parents just cancelled all the children auto insurance, I am going to get my wifes insurance on my policy but I was wondering if we could add her brothers and sister to ours as well? They are young and are having a hard time paying bills the way it is. I thought if I put them on ours then they would get a tiny discount. They do not live with us. Is that a requirement? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

IF I DO NOT RENEW MY AUTO INSURANCE POLICY, AM I TECHNICALLY CANCELLING IT?
Oct 12th
Question by John B:
If I do not renew my auto insurance policy, am I technically cancelling it?
I’m switching auto insurance companies next month, and rather than cancelling my current policy, I would just like to not automatically renew it. Is this the same as a cancellation? I would be using the entire term of my current insurance policy, and the new policy would kick in seamlessly.
If it helps, I live in NJ.
Thanks for the swift responses. To be more clear, I do not plan on lapsing on my insurance at all, and will definitely have proof that I was and am covered. I just need to know that I have a leg to stand on if they try hitting me with a cancellation fee.

CAN YOU HAVE A SEPARATE CAR INSURANCE POLICY FOR A DIFFERENT VEHICLE?
Sep 30th
Question by tonyk:
Can you have a separate automobile insurance policy for a different vehicle?
I am 18 and I am insured under my parent’s policy for my main car. I am really into automobiles so I wanted to purchase an old Explorer or something as a throw around automobile to work on, but my parents would never let me put it on their insurance. I do not need collision or comprehensive, just liability insurance. Is it possible to be insured under my parent’s policy for my one automobile and insured under a separate policy for a second car? I live in New Jersey if that makes any difference.

CAN I GET AN AUTO INSURANCE POLICY FOR RENTAL CARS ONLY?
Sep 14th
Question by cameron marlow:
Can I get an auto insurance policy for rental automobiles only?
I often rent automobiles and end up paying insurance. My credit card covers collision damage waiver (CDW) but not liability, which is required by law in says like California. Is there a policy I can get from an auto insurance company that will give me liability for a good price? I am exhausted of paying $ 10/day for something I never end up using.
