believe it or not……they base it based on your credit agency report. if it sucks, you get higher rates. not sure when and who thought of that, but i think that is just terrible. i know there are some says that want to stop this practice. i sure wish i was in one of those states! seems like it should have nothing to do with the credit report.

Insurance is different for everyone, so what company is ideal for me might not be ideal for you. It is ideal to just get an individual quote as insurance is based on drivers age, history, location and vehicle.

Even if they arent on your MVR if an insurance company has paid anything out on them they will still count & the insurance company can probably see them in their system. But if you had a wreck that no insurance company knew about & no police showed up, then no you wouldnt have to tell them & they wont show up.

Withholding information is a form of insurance fraud and it’s a morale hazard. Insurance companies do not like this….

There should be a drop down for NAF accident (Not at fault accident). Use that selection for the accidents that were not your fault. As for your violation, if it’s not showing on your MVR because you finished the defensive driving course then do not list the citation. If you did not complete the driving course then you do need to list the violation, unless it’s a non-moving violation (i.e. parking ticket, etc.)

Don’t try to defraud an insurance company to get a cheaper rate. You will find yourself without insurance when you need it most

Yes you should never fail to disclose anything as it might come back to bite you should they be forced to pay out.

Don’t let anyone run your credit until you get the quote you want. Have them just use your demographic and personal data to quote. Then if you like the quote let them run your credit to verify you are qualified.

Someone checking your score will not injured your credit rating; it happens all the time. And there are some companies that do not check it; watch their ads on Television and in print to find them. Last time I pulled my reports, I noted about ten insurers had looked at mine, with no bad results.

They will run your credit because your credit rating can affect your insurance rates. People that are irresponsible with their finances (and have poor credit scores as a result) are often irresponsible drivers too, so if you have a poor credit score you might have to pay more for insurance.

That said, their running your credit has no impact on your credit score, there is no reason why it should.

As long as you are totally sure that Geico covers anything that might happen to your automobile while being transported by a third party. Otherwise do not scrimp and get the extra insurance.

a automobile insurance quote is an estimation of the price you will pay for your insurance.
Usually quotes will be the real price in moss cases, provided you give all proper details about you.
many people do not and they shoot themselves in the foot.
