Do you know that many auto insurance companies base your rate on your Credit Score>? Should this be legal>?
I just feel that if the Say is going to require by law auto insurance ,, then your credit should not have anything to do with your rate! Many companies do not even tell you they are running your credit, but they do! This needs to be changed !
what’s next they going to charge us what the wish on our next Huge Mac based on our credit score?

What will happen to our automobile insurance rate?
16 yr old son got his license. Wife and I have 2 fairly nice cars. Full coverage. When we added my son our rate doubled, more than doubled actually. His grandmother is giving him a automobile this week. Not worthy of full coverage. How should we handle the insurance. Can we list him as primary driver on that automobile and do liability only? Will that make the rate go down or will it go up even more?
In our state, uninsured motorist is a package that comes with liability.

What would be the automobile insurance rate for a sport coupe?
I’m 16 in two months and I am buying a used 2007 Scion tC, which is considered a “sport coupe”. I have never been in an accident, and I have a permit. I will get my license in two months. I live in Florida and I am a girl, so I know the insurance rates are lower, but no matter how many sites I visit I cannot find a automobile insurance quote that doesn’t require a credit report or social security number, which I either do not have or do not feel comfortable giving out. So does anyone know if obtaining a rate quote for your auto insurance or obtaining a rate quote on auto loans will lower your credit score? Im in the market for buying a new automobile and i was hoping to obtain as many quotes as possible to see my options. Do they actually run your credit or do they just take the information you give them and provide an estimate? Any assistance would be helpful, thanks!

I need auto insurance that includes crack window coverage.
I have a 2007 car and my current insurance wants me to pay a $ 250 deducticle before they will pick up the tab.
When I had Allstate, window mishaps were free, but Allstate is extremely high now….
Please dont recommend the green lizard. Their prices are outrageous..and I am a good driver, zero traffic violations who reside in the burbs!

Can an auto insurance company double your rate within 24 hours after they quoted you and made you pay?
I got a quote from Progressive. They looked into my record and it went up a few hundred bucks, I was alright with that so I signed up. I even called to make sure everything was good and I was able to cancel my insurance with my previous auto insurance company. Within a day after processing, they doubled my rate.. and then some.. It basically went from $ 600 to $ 1,450.. Are they granted to do that?
