I disagree with the use of credit scores and auto insurance, and would like to find an auto insurance company that doesn’t use the method when selling me their service. Does anyone know of companies that do not check your credit, and instead uses your driving record, age, etc….like it used to be?

There was an auto insurance commercial whose gimick was that they provided you with not only their rates, but the rates of their competitors…what insurance company was that?
I have not seen that particular thing being adverstised in a few months-and I cant remember what the company was…either geico, progressive..i cant remember?!!

Will my auto insurance rates go up if the accident is not my fault?
I live in texas and a year ago, rear ended a car in a low speed accident. They made a claim, but I did not. My insurance rates did not go up.
Today, I was hit from behind on the ice. The vehicle, a jeep, drove away as I was trying to gain traction and right my car to avoid another collision. I did not get their license plate.
I have no choice but to file with my insurance company. Will my auto rates go up? And would it have been any different if my car had been hit in a parking lot without my being there?

I was looking up quotes from other insurance companies (currently have Geico), and all the quotes are the same as I pay now, or more. is there a small automobile insurance company serving washington say with low rates?
In Oregon and California you can get Wawanesa insurance, their rates are about half what the huge companies charge, I got a quote from them. Unfortunately I now live in Washington say and can’t get it here. I Did not have them when I lived in Oregon. They do not advertise and I found out about them through word of mouth. I pay $ 1800 a year for a 96 Camry, full coverage, say minimum. Way too much money, I have never filed a claim in my life. 28 year old guy w/ bad credit. I have tried shopping around for years, tried all the websites I could find. I have got a quote from each company you have heard of and some you haven’t. I could save maybe $ 10 a month by switching but that is not going to solve the problem. If it exists in Oregon, there has to be some similar company serving Washington say with very low rates, that just doesn’t advertise and has tiny on the web presence? Can anyone provide the name of such a company?

i am a 23 year old male and have a 1993 lexus sc 300 auto 2 dr. i know for a male the rates go down when you hit 25 years old, but is there anything when you turn 23? doesnt it go down a lil. i have had 1 ticket for speeding in nov of 2005, but took that course on the web to get it off my record since it was my first one.
