What should I do if my automobile is on the road when my automobile insurance runs out and I cannot afford to renew it?
My automobile is parked on the public highway. My insurance policy expired over a week ago, and I have just read that it’s actually illegal to have it on the road with no insurance. I am not sure what I should do now, because I cannot afford to renew it, but I cannot see how I can move it off the road without driving it at least a few metres. Can anyone advise please?

My current automobile insurance policy runs out at the end of the month and I will not be renewing with them. I am getting a new automobile approx 2 weeks before the expiry date. Can i begin the insurance with another company and ‘overlap’ the insurance ?
