Googling “city general insurance” seems to recommend that it operates only in Bangladesh! You do not state where you live, but if you are in Bangladesh, it might be OK; elsewhere I’d recommend a company you have heard of, or one suggested by friends.

Yes they are high, and for minimum coverage. Minimum coverage might keep Johnny law off your butt, but it will not do much for you if you injure someone or do major damage.

Safe Auto is high risk insurance, that is the reason they say they do not check credit, since most people who purchase it, cant purchase from a huge name auto insurance company due to their credit, driving record of tickets, or multiple accidents in the past.

Your ideal bet is to get multiple quotes from at least 3 companies. I recommend you call a agent and discuss and they will give you their suggestions. Also, with any high risk auto, most only have minimum limits only, so if you have any assets, you need more than the minimum to protect you.

As a general rule, any accidents/tickets etc will stay on your record for 3 years and if as you say you driving record is good, I recommend you try some of the other companies even with bad credit, since the rates they will charge will most likely be cheaper than Safe Auto.

I went to their web site, it doesn’t look like they have a Memphis office to me. I also checked the business listings in Memphis, no SafeAuto Insurance.

Most of those places do business over the phone & by mail, and do not have a physical office in each state.

i have progressive i currently pay 111 a month for 6 months for full coverage since might 09 this will be my third term i really like them they have all kind of discounts and i have a previous accident that happen in 07 and 1 speeding ticket on record before progressive i had geico when i first got my automobile i paid 240 a month then when it was time to renew they upped the price to like 256 and that is before the accident after the accident the wanted to charged me 295 and i was like helllll noooo that was extremely to much so i changed to progressive which was just a 100 dollars cheaper at first but its constantly going down i know u didnt mention geico as a option but i just telling u they are expensive

You never know with all the scams out there. Just because they advertise on tv doesn’t make it safe.
It’s safer to get quotes over the phone from companies in your local phone book.
They do not take your ssn until you go to their office

Cars are ultra safe in my neighborhood as I live near the County Courthouse and cops are always all over my neighborhood like a cheap suit (San Jose, California). I had a automobile stolen once when I lived in San Francisco by joyriders who took totally nothing inside. The cops were nice and drove me and my friend (who I was picking up at the bus station from a trip from Sacramento) to my apartment. Took only three days to locate it.

Basic facts:
-I’m in Michigan and 22 yo
-I have a 1-point speeding ticket 12 months old
-I have a 3-point speeding ticket 23 months old (from Florida)
-No accidents
-I’m looking for the cheapest auto insurance that is legal (and that will likely be accepted by the bank, since the automobile is on an auto loan..)

Also, are there any on the web traffic schools I could do or something?

State Farm wanted to charge me 100% markup from their normal rate without the tickets (From 00 per 6 months to 00 per 6 months) and I am hoping I can do better.
