If you think you can sit on the sofa and get paid to surf the internet, you are in for a rude awakening. Why would a company pay strangers to answer a survey when they can get REAL CUSTOMERS to do it by including a link on their receipts??

If you want to work from home, you can babysit or begin some kind of business of your own.

Realtors frequently work from home and out of their car.

Many companies hire professionals with college degrees to work in the field doing sales, consulting, etc. These people typically work out of their home but spend most days in customer offices.

Most people who work from home are granted to do so after many years of proven service. I can work from home when I want, but I have been with my job for 17 years and I don’t really need supervision or training to do my job. 99% of my job is on the personal so home or office is pretty much the same.

If you do not have a college degree and skills that are in demand, you are very unlikely to find a “work from home” job other than babysitting, selling Mary Kay, etc.

Try using something like IShop4Cheap.com to purchase electronics cheap on the web then resell it on Ebay at close to retail price. They also auction off instant cash transfers (via Paypal) ranging from $ 50 to $ 500. I saw a $ 500 transfer sell for $ 15.13 the other day. At IShop4Cheap you bid on items and the price goes up by 10 cents each time. Once time expires the leading bidder wins the item. You have to pay 60 cents to bid but if you can win an auction after bidding 100 times then you only spent $ 60 and won a $ 400 piece of equipment. It has to do with loss experience. The companies that have to pay out more losses have higher rates. Progressive will take anyone with any driving record. The smaller companies tend to be more selective, they only want people with clean driving records, they tend to not take younger drivers on their own (will only take them if they are on their parent’s policy). It could also be that some of the smaller companies do not credit score yet. If your credit score is not great, this could be a factor too.
Before you buy your policy, check on ambest.com & see the company’s rating. If the company is rated A- or better, go for it. If they are any lower, don’t. Usually, the smaller companies work with independent agents & you have an advantage there too. They represent more than one company and if you have a problem with one, they will have another. Also, they can help you with changes, insurance advice & claims.

I am not sure how you legally obtained that much information on that person, except for the lawsuits and criminal proceedings. What licence doesn’t he have? He doesn’t need a driver licence to operate a back hoe on private property, and most business licences are not listed on-line. He owes for the damage, and if he doesn’t pay, you can sue him. Your landlord’s homeowner insurance would not respond to the damage, but your landlord might be willing to help settle with the person she hired.

Just because he has a rap sheet and no business license doesn’t mean he doesn’t have automobile insurance. Do not jump to conclusions too quickly. Get your estimates. Totally wait and see in he will not pay and speak to your land lord to see if they will not support you in this.

You could be surprised. Do not pull your hair out just yet…save that for the attorneys!

I joke and state I love to worry about EVERYTHING because everything I worry about never happens (so if I worry about it, it will not happen…get it???) Keep smilin’…it’ll do your ulcers good and there is not anything you can do right now anyway. The only thing you can do is wait.

He’ll collect your dough and get his fee from whoever he collects from.

Typically, insurance rates will vary from Say to Say and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor car report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.

The ideal thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent. Do not go across town, or to some other city – look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Huge I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies.

An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he can’t help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.

In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with “less than perfect” driving records.

Most of the replies on this site state “go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number” but I am sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal personal user with a script to work from and you will not be able to speak with the same person each time you have a problem!

I have been with USAA since I was a student in ROTC in 1973. They handle auto, life, property, investments, long term care, and more…

I would not change for ANYTHING. They are one of the best…if not THE best.

At one point, they were only for military officers. Currently, they have opened up their doors to accept applications from very responsible drivers.

You probably need to go to your say insurance department website, to get companies that are granted to sell that insurance in YOUR STATE.

Auto: Say Farm, Nationwide, Travelers, Progressive, Geico, Infinity

Home: Erie, USAA, Travelers, Hartford, Allstate

Health: Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Golden Rule

Disability: Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aflac

Life: Say Farm, USAA, Metropolitan, Mass Mutuall, Guardian

Keep in mind, most of these companies write more than one kind of insurance, for example, Say Farm writes everything EXCEPT Health.
