Question by Zach H:
Someone signed me up for some auto insurance without my permission?
Someone signed me up for netquote auto insurances without my permission and know im getting calls from work and my cell phone. Is there a way i can get the persons IP address who signed me up? Would the company give me that info?

——————————————

Answer by Dina M
Under bylaws and privacy laws you would not be able to get that information. You can however let them know it wasnt you, and maybe have a security question for anything related to you, so if someone cant answer the question its obviously not you (i know you didnt sing up for the policy what im getting at is let them know if anyone states they are you and tries to open more policies they wont be able to without a security feature.) It is illegal for whom ever did this, You can also report it to local police departments and they can investigate from the insurance companies. Good luck

Answer by Imperfect
I highly doubt if u can get their IP address or any other information for that matter. But whoever it was, is just a childish person and they cannot actually get insurance in your name without having all of your information and automobile info. Block the number on your cell or tell the insurance company that you are not interesed and you did not ask for a quote.

Question by shineyelf123:
What are some cheap automobile insurance companys?
What automobile insurance companys are cheap… and do they have a web site/phone number so I can get a quote

thanks!

——————————————

Answer by Insuranceman
There is no ONE insurance company that is right for everyone – everyone is rated individually – and all companies have different “likes and dis-likes”, different credit tiers, different business models, and many other factors that can vary your rate – and a QUOTE is ONLY a quote until the policy is issued.

Typically, insurance rates will vary from Say to Say and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor car report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.

The ideal thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent or broker. Do not go across town, or to some other city – look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Huge I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies.

An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he can’t help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.

In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with “less than perfect” driving records and specialize in young operators!

Most of the replies on this site state “go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number” but I am sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal personal user with a script to work from and you will not be able to speak with the same person each time you have a problem!

Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!

Answer by pickmefirstplz
try Say Farm or Progressive

Answer by David W
GOOD and CHEAP do not always go together; you often get what you pay for. You can get some idea of how consumers rate their insurers by checking

www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/autos-insurance

or reading Consumer Reports magazine for their annual auto issue; your public library might have back issues.

——————————————
I started a full coverage policy on my truck (04 Ford) for $ 90.00.
Everyone else quoted me far more than that.

Question by Meg:
What are some good on the web jobs to make extra cash?
I’m looking for a job that I can do from home while attending school. I want it to be flexible so that I can work when I am avalaible to work. I need money to pay for gas, automobile insurance, and a cell phone bill.

——————————————

Answer by Rick B
If you think you can sit on the sofa and get paid to surf the internet, you are in for a rude awakening. Why would a company pay strangers to answer a survey when they can get REAL CUSTOMERS to do it by including a link on their receipts??

If you want to work from home, you can babysit or begin some kind of business of your own.

Realtors frequently work from home and out of their car.

Many companies hire professionals with college degrees to work in the field doing sales, consulting, etc. These people typically work out of their home but spend most days in customer offices.

Most people who work from home are granted to do so after many years of proven service. I can work from home when I want, but I have been with my job for 17 years and I don’t really need supervision or training to do my job. 99% of my job is on the personal so home or office is pretty much the same.

If you do not have a college degree and skills that are in demand, you are very unlikely to find a “work from home” job other than babysitting, selling Mary Kay, etc.

Answer by Mike Samuel
In order to make money on the web you need to take matters into your own hands and avoid using the systems/scams people will bait you into on here. Try using something like IShop4Cheap.com to purchase electronics cheap on the web then resell it on Ebay at close to retail price. They also auction off instant cash transfers (via Paypal) ranging from $ 50 to $ 500. I saw a $ 500 transfer sell for $ 15.13 the other day. At IShop4Cheap you bid on items and the price goes up by 10 cents each time. Once time expires the leading bidder wins the item. You have to pay 60 cents to bid but if you can win an auction after bidding 100 times then you only spent $ 60 and won a $ 400 piece of equipment. Just make sure to be patient and use a good bidding strategy while everyone else drives the price up in the beginning.

Question by Mike S:
Can somebody please explain to me why some auto insurance companies are so cheap while most are outrageous?
I just got a new automobile and i’ve been getting some quotes. I have no auto accidents and no tickets in the past 7 years. Why are a lot of companies so ridiculous and some reasonable? I have noticed that the main ones like Geico, Allstate, Progressive are the high ones while the tiny businesses are the cheapest.

——————————————

Answer by Sue
It has to do with loss experience. The companies that have to pay out more losses have higher rates. Progressive will take anyone with any driving record. The smaller companies tend to be more selective, they only want people with clean driving records, they tend to not take younger drivers on their own (will only take them if they are on their parent’s policy). It could also be that some of the smaller companies do not credit score yet. If your credit score is not great, this could be a factor too.
Before you buy your policy, check on ambest.com & see the company’s rating. If the company is rated A- or better, go for it. If they are any lower, don’t. Usually, the smaller companies work with independent agents & you have an advantage there too. They represent more than one company and if you have a problem with one, they will have another. Also, they can help you with changes, insurance advice & claims.

Question by Loca:
This guy somehow managed to run into my ford explorer with a back how while he was at my home preforming some
work for my landlord. He asked me to get an estimate for the damages, well the estimate was 1300.00 done to the rear of my truck. He claims he is going to pay for the damages and meet me at the auto body repair shop or set up an account with them. I did some research on the web about this guy and he doesnt even have a liscense. He has a rap sheet about 3 pages long where he has been sued for operating a busniess without a lisecense and he has been in jail and everything. He currently still doesnt have a liscecsen. Should I wait and see if he will pay? My Insurance company wont pay cause I dont have collison coverage. Or is it my landlords responsibilty and she would have to pay with her home owners insurance since is happened on her property?
Please help! Im pulling my hair out!
I checked on the web and he has no Business Liscense and has been sued about 8 times for operating without one and also not finshing his jobs as he was hired and paid to due so, this man has been sued by everyone. His total judgements are over 10,000.00. Im not believeing that hew will pay for my truck or pay when we go to court.

——————————————

Answer by Fred C
I am not sure how you legally obtained that much information on that person, except for the lawsuits and criminal proceedings. What licence doesn’t he have? He doesn’t need a driver licence to operate a back hoe on private property, and most business licences are not listed on-line. He owes for the damage, and if he doesn’t pay, you can sue him. Your landlord’s homeowner insurance would not respond to the damage, but your landlord might be willing to help settle with the person she hired.

Answer by Blakenwite
Just because he has a rap sheet and no business license doesn’t mean he doesn’t have automobile insurance. Do not jump to conclusions too quickly. Get your estimates. Totally wait and see in he will not pay and speak to your land lord to see if they will not support you in this.

You could be surprised. Do not pull your hair out just yet…save that for the attorneys!

I joke and state I love to worry about EVERYTHING because everything I worry about never happens (so if I worry about it, it will not happen…get it???) Keep smilin’…it’ll do your ulcers good and there is not anything you can do right now anyway. The only thing you can do is wait.

Answer by mantle two
If he doesn’t pay, your landlord should. If neither does, call a local lawyer.
He’ll collect your dough and get his fee from whoever he collects from.

——————————————

Question by Alesia D:
What is some good cheap automobile insurance for young adults between the ages of 18-24?
And I mean automobile insurance that you do not have to pay over 100 dollars for.

——————————————

Answer by missjay
I’m with east wood they are not that huge but they get the job done and only pay 90 month and 86 for the first month

Answer by Insuranceman
Typically, insurance rates will vary from Say to Say and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor car report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.

The ideal thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent.

In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with “less than perfect” driving records.

——————————————
