Does my boyfriend need to tell his new automobile insurance company about his past accidents?
My boyfriends is buying a new automobile and he needs automobile insurance, he was in two previous accidents but they were NOT reported to the insurance company, but there were police reports. When we do the quotes on the web an put the accidents in there the insurance is around $ 550, but if we do not put them in it is about $ 350 so obviously we do not want to tell them. He has never had automobile insurance just in his name, so when he goes to apply for it does he need to tell the new company about the accidents?
