when automobile insurance companies quote your rates they run your name SS# etc.Where is the information coming from?
I am looking to obtain a list of the accidents i have been in so that I know why i am being quoted so high by insurance companies. I am sure somewhere there is a Database to get this info. Is it linked with the DMV? I know you can get a list of tickets you have received but does it include accidents?

Insurance companies run your motor car report which they get from each says department of motor vehicles. The program used to get the MVR is Choicepoint. Just contact your local DMV and ask for a copy of your MVR.

Another report companies use is called a CLUE report. This is also received from Choicepiont. It lists all claims you have made going back about 5 years.

I am a resident of Miami Florida and I can tell you first hand to be very careful entering any private information online. I have recently had my Identity stolen from entering my personal information which had to include my social security number for a free on the web auto insurance quote. Never again will I so easily be swayed to enter my personal information into the world wide web for all to see. My thoughts, there are people who can hack into anywhere online, do yourself a favor and try to limit the information you submit onto the web.

I now currently have my florida auto insurance with Florida Auto Plus Insurance out of Miami Florida 1-877-WIZ-AUTO

For you to actually receive a accurate auto insurance quote on the web you must first submit all your personal information including your social security number. Can this really be the safe way to shop for auto insurance?

When automobile insurance pays a medical claim do they subtract the cost of the hurt celebrations insurance payout?
I’m just curious when someone gets into a automobile accident, lets state someone gets injured. They sue for medical expenses and in scenario 1 their insurance pays for it. Can they still file a claim for the full amount of treatment since they pay for that insurance and no law forces them to have insurance OR would the insurance payout the price remaining, if any?

How does that work?
Just want to know for idle knowledge.
By insurance paying for it, I mean the hurt celebrations healh insurance.

Actually what would happen is the hurt party’s medical insurance would pay the bill and then sue the auto insurance carrier. This is called subjugation.

Can the auto insurance company pay me directly for my medical expenses or do they have to pay the doctor?
I was in an auto accident and I have medical insurance. My medical insurance covered my medical expenses; however, I wanted to know if the auto insurance is still liable for those expenses? It seems as if my having medical insurance should benefit me and not the liable party’s auto insurance company. If I did not have medical insurance the auto insurance company would still have to pay for those expenses. So shouldn’t they still have to pay for those expenses and I get what ever is left that my medical insurance company did not pay? Are there any laws statures that back this up in Georgia? I am trying to settle this claim without getting an attorney and I need all the help I can get. Any advice would be helpful. I am in the process of writing a demand letter. Thanks for all the help.

Yes and no. The medical bills should be refunded to you by the other person’s medical insurance if they were found at fault. Have your lawyer (or you) send a demand letter w/ a copy of the medical bills (before insurance took care of the cost). Then you will receive a ck from the auto insurance company to you for your bills.

There are a bunch of websites where all you have to do is fill out a short form and they will give you an estimate from a bunch of different companies. You can select the cheapest one from there. http://www.autoinsuranceestimate.info/ is a good one.

WENT ONLINE TO GET CAR INSURANCE AND IT SAID THEY HAD TO CHARGE ME EXTRA BECAUSE I HAD A “COMPREHENSIVE CLAIM”

By extra I mean 40 bucks extra each month. The “comprehensive claim” cost fifity dollars and was to fix a small dent in my windshield that I would have paid for had I known. I feel scammed. Anything I can do?
Anyway I guess this needs more details. I AM shopping around for insurance, this claim is on my MVR and is making my payments increase with all companies that I have looked into so far. Ugh.
