Car insurance gives me one quote and then in a week changes it. Can they do this legally?
I was looking to lease a new car. I then called my automobile insurance and told them then ins and outs of the automobile and the driver information. The only thing I could not give them was the VIN number. The lady told me the worst case scenario with me as the driver of the new lease and the nicer automobile that would make my payments 88 dollars more a month. We stated ok we can deal with that no huge deal. So we purchase the automobile and drive away thinking the worst case scenario is 88 dollars more a month I can make with the lease payment. I then call my insurance company and give them the VIN of the car. They then give me a quote of 179 dollars more a month!!!! That is more then double what they quoted me. She also stated the reason it is that much more is because i had a fender bender about 2 and a half years ago which put two points on my record Now being 20 and engaged i cant afford that and if i would have known it would have not leased the automobile and got a used one. Can the insurance company do that? The raise in the price had nothing to do with the VIN or the features on the car. Its because the accident I had that accident 2 years ago. The first time the same company did not include that part in the quote before i purchased it,but now they jack it up after i get the automobile and now i am screwed is this legal? The calls were recorded. What can i do? Please help! I got screwed? Am i stuck now

The commercial said that you would not read a book while driving so you should not speak on your cell phone while driving. Why is it, that when I try to get a quote over the phone, companies always quote like 875.00/6mos. But, if I do it online, it’s always around 465.00? I can never figure that out.
Yeah, but 400.00 difference?
Well, let’s see, lapse in insurance time was shorter when I called than when I went online. Would that change anything? This time around, they had an accident listed as our fault, which wasn’t. I had the other insurance fax liability and got all that squared away. So, it’s not that anymore. Oh well. Yeah, I know, bad credit sucks. And it’s all just cuz of stupid hospital bills that rack up. Oh, well. Here is to a happy life, with miserable tiny pebbles here and there.

How likely is it that my automobile insurance will go up due to this?
Haven’t had a claim in over ten years
Haven’t gotten a ticket in probably 5 years.
But, the neighbor kid did $ 2K worth of damage to my automobile with his bike in three separate incidents. Basically, half of it will have to be repainted!
I’d really, really rather not go to court. His insurance is NOT an option in this case. He doesn’t have $ 2,000 laying around.
IF I go the much easier route of getting him to pay at least my deductible, how likely is Say Farm to raise my rates with a, after deductible, claim of about $ 1500 or so?
Any relevant advice/comment is appreciated.
Killing the kid DID cross my mind for just the briefest of moments, but then I realized that might be overreacting just a tad! lol
Forgot to mention that I did file a police report AND the stepdad admitted his kid ( 4 years old!) most likely did it.
Again, just wondering if my rates will go up if I go the simple way and file a claim?
Insurance doesn’t apply due to it being on rental property.

Cheap auto insurance, could this be possible?
Today I called several local auto insurance companies because I need insurance for my Taurus and I found some ok rates, how ever after doing a Google search I found a site called Auto Insurance Monster (www.AutoInsuranceMonster.com) and they had some reviews for several auto insurance companies.
After reading some of the articles I decided to get a quote from one of the insurance companies listed there.
After getting my quote I found that the rate was 17% lower than my local insurance company.
Are these rates real? could they be scams, the companies listed are always on tv and they have very professional websites, but I just can not believe the rates I found on Auto Insurance Monster.
Should I stay with my local insurer or go with the on the web services?
