Insurance cost is going to depend a lot on your driving record, and your previous insurance history. If you currrently do not have insurance, you will be considered to be a high risk. If you have any points on your license, or previeous claims, you again are a high risk.

In MD there is an insurance compay of last resort called the Maryland Vehicle Insurance Fund. They were established by the state govenment when the manditory insurance law was passed, and they are required to insure any driver. They are extremely expensive, because they are covering the highest risk drivers.

We cant tell you. Sure somebody can stump for Say Farm or Progressive, but that doesnt help you.

You need to do the legwork yourself. We dont know where you live, or how much driving she does. You need to decide the levels of coverage, liabilitites, deductables, etc – and then call or price around.

Go to the different web sites and try the quotes. When I first got my automobile I did not go for the major automobile insurance people. I tried a place called Dairy Farm. They were cheaper. I was about 17 at the time. The ideal thing for her to do is take the defensive driving course. It will eliminate 3 points for the speeding ticket.

Shop around and get quotes from different insurance companies. The DMV offers great resources for inexpensive insurance. Since your 18 years old with a mustang, theres no such thing as cheap insurance and because of your age and style of car. Anticipate costly insurance. It might be less costly if yu were driving a sedan, a automobile with four doors.

if he is living at home can you put him on your policy (the premium takes advantage of your experience) – it will be extremely high for an 18 year old to have a stand alone policy regardless of automobile — will the automobile need comp (other than collission) and/or collission coverage or just liability – these factors add or subtract from the premium – the amount of deductibles – the limit of liabilty do you want for the mustang – the say minimum stipulations or somewhere between the say and the highest levels

Try AAA and Safeco. They are the only companies I have seen that give children a good break unless you are willing to insure it under you. Farmers has the good student discount if he is in your household and under your policy.

It depends on both your credit level and how long you have been at your current job. Both are important factors. I’t would help if your parents co-signed on the deal. but if you still live with your parent I’d assume you really should begin with a cheaper car. The insurance would be lower and you should really work your way up after many years accident free.

A lot of that depends on your credit rating. And if you still live with your parents you might not have much credit experience. Will they co sign on a loan for you? Do you have a good job? Is it secure? They will want a minimum of 1,500 cash at closing and spotless credit before they will speak loan-I can just about guaranty that.
