I am planning to purchase a 2002 Nissan Sentra worth 7 Grand in the forth coming week.I am a new driver with learning permit .My age is 35 and I came recently from India.
I am trying for Insurance in different companies like GEICO,STATE Farm etc.Everywhere I get quotes like 2000$ For 6 month premium for a decent coverage.I am looking for something around 1000 – 1200 $ for 6 months.I would anticipate a maximum liability coverage ,a limited uninsured coverage and Collision Coverage with a Deductible of 1000 $ .

What to do about Young Driver’s automobile insurance?
I’m 17 and currently looking at buying my first automobile with insurance sometime during next year. I have been looking around on a lot of price comparison sites and the cheapest I could honestly find was £3,000 a year. I even tried putting myself on my father’s insurance through them and it was still in the 3000′s. I have tried with a number of cars, mainly from group 4 insurance as anything below that tends to be really new automobiles that boost up your premium. Ideally, I’d like to purchase my friends Peugeot 306 off him which is a 1.9 diesel that is usually really cheap to insure compared to most other “first cars”. However since this large insurance increase I am finding it impossible to get prices below £3000.
Does anyone know of anyone specialist insurance sites for young drivers that offer cheaper prices or does anyone have any tips for filling out the forms to lower the price? I have tried everything I possibly can but I might have missed some important thing. I just know I do not want to pay £3000 a year for a automobile that I am buying for £400. I see no logic there, what so ever. I’d rather crash my automobile and then purchase another 6 of them.

I really dont get it, automobile insurance on a 2000 plate 1litre yaris is over £10,000 – YES 10K!
I do live in manchester, which is the most pricey post code to get insured in but 10k is just a joke for a 18year old. Ive done it all correct too putting 1000 annual milage e.t.c
So ive read on the web about how much people are fined when they are found driving without insurance and its about 200 on average. I know it can go upto 5000 but thats still cheaper than shelling out for insurance and your chances of getting caught arnt really high the way i would do it.
Get a car, insure my father on the automobile so it doesnt flag up on the police cameras when you drive past, drive to and from work only, and state the automobile is parked at work (nice postcode to get insurance cheaper) over night. which i can state it is my brother takes it on his night shift there.
And if i do get caught i will state i took it without owners concent. TWOC the police call it.
I just cant get it into my head at why the government dont do anything about insurance it kind of pushes people into breaking the law.
And i would use public transport IF it didnt take me 4hours to get to and from work a day! ¬¬
They dont jail people for driving without insurance, you just get fined and your liscence taken away.
Its not america where you get shot and shit for drink driving lolol.
But if i did crash i could give my fathers details over, go home and then go through the insurance.

Can someone please give me advise, i am 18 and a guy, i need a company that will insure for a reasonable price, like £1800 a year at most for my age.
I would really like a citroen saxo but i want the look of the vtr, but its a 1.4 at smallest and i hate the look of the basic model. Can you get a 1.1 or 1.2 saxo with look of vtr/vti?
Plus, could you provide a list of automobiles good on insurance for my age and companies that give good quotes online.

P.S do you need to notify insurance companies if you put a set of speakers in your car? like does it count as a modification towards the price?

1.) an 18 year old female college student with good grades, no accidents or tickets.
2.) a 20 year old male college student with good grades and 1 speeding ticket
Asking about general liability for a semi-decent car.
